University of Pannonia – Faculty of Business and Economics

The University of Pannonia is a significant institution of higher education in the Transdanubian region of Hungary. The programmes offered by the university, which has a considerable professional tradition and a great past, cover nearly all areas of sciences. This multidisciplinary university guarantees unique possibilities to obtain up-to-date knowledge in humanities, economics, engineering, pedagogy, social- and natural sciences, as well as extra-curricular professional and scientific activities. Tutors and researchers succeed in different project applications both in Hungary and in the European Union.

The Faculty of Business and Economics of the University of Pannonia contributes to the functioning and improvement of the public and civil society with its high quality education, research and development.
As a student-centred business school, the FBE provides a caring environment and cultivates an open-minded approach and ethical behaviour. By offering research based, practice-oriented education, it prepares graduates who support and create positive change in their communities.

The Faculty of Business and Economics was the first ever faculty to receive the Hungarian Higher Education Quality Award for faculties in 2008.

In 2014 the Faculty reached an important milestone; it became a member of the AACSB International (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business).

The Faculty has a recognised and powerful Doctoral School, in which our excellent professors lead research groups in the field of economics, business and management.

Having recognised the importance of attracting more and more well-known, respected lecturers to the University of Pannonia, the Faculty of Business and Economics is aiming to build strong and long-lasting relationships between tutors by involving them in diverse research cooperation projects as well as inviting them to teach in our programmes. Also, realizing the necessity of making education more real-life based, the University has already taken steps in order to strengthen its relations to companies in its region.

Militos Consulting S.A. (20 years of operation) is a unique, dynamic and innovative 360° consultancy firm, with a strong European profile, international experience and many distinctions in the provision of integrated and ground-breaking consultancy services in a wide spectrum of fields, including Gamification and Digital Applications, Skills Empowerment, Entrepreneurship Education, Vocational Education and Training (VET), Communication, Community Building and Awareness Measures, Event Management, Social Innovation, Culture, etc.

With a track record of 60 EU-funded projects and activities, as leader or partner, Militos has sound experience in project management of large-scale and complex projects as well as in depth understanding of European policies. Militos has expertise in the conceptualisation, development and operation of new and sustainable entrepreneurship schemes, train-the-trainer methodologies, interactive e-learning tools, online immersive games and mobile applications.

Militos holds extensive experience and expertise in mobilising communities, building and activating networks, designing, managing and implementing demanding events and large-scale campaigns.

Overall, within the last 8 years, Militos has organised more than 185 multidimensional events and dissemination actions with more than 65.000 participants, having received many distinctions for the quality of its services, the innovative content, the influence, efficiency and impact of its communication activities, including 2 European awards (DG AGRI), ie. the Special Public CAP Award for the widest outreach in Europe (1st place) and the Award for Innovative Communication in the EU CAP (3rd place) for the LLP project farmsup! on the promotion of agro-entrepreneurship. Militos holds a multidisciplinary team of 10 people, a large network of external experts and more than 350 synergies worldwide.

University of Tartu

The University of Tartu (UTARTU) was founded in 1632. It offers 195 research-based graduate and postgraduate degree programs and deals with both fundamental and applied research. More than 13000 students (11% international) study in 4 faculties (Arts and Humanities, Medicine, Science and Technology, Social Sciences), and UTARTU has about 3600 staff members (12% international). UTARTU belongs to the top 1.2% of the world’s best universities (out of 20,000). 54 UTARTU scientists are in the top 1% of most quoted scientists in the world, and UTARTU has 72 partner universities in 26 countries.

University of Tartu works in close collaboration with the Estonian Roundtable for Development Cooperation on various sustainable development topics and is providing input for research-based decision-making.

UTARTU unit that is involved in the project is Johan Skytte Institute of Political Studies. The Institute provides education at all levels: undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate (PhD). Every year the Institute’s 27 academic staff members teach over 150 students across its programs and conduct research and evaluation projects in a diverse range of topics, such as governance, policy-making, integration etc. The Institute also has extensive experience in involving civil society organizations and other stakeholders in planning and mapping processes, and within different projects, including Erasmus+ ones, Skytte staff have taught international audiences from a wide range of countries, including Vietnam, Georgia, Moldova and the United States.

Online Eductation & Stakeholder Engagement Team (ONESET) is a separate unit at the Johan Skytte Institute of Political Studies. It was formed in 2016 to acts as a link between University of Tartu and civil society organizations to build their capacity through research and education. We work with researchers in University to implement applied research and education projects.

Vytautas Magnus University

West University of Timisoara

With a history of almost eight decades – it was founded in 1944 by a Royal Decree – WUT is the fourth largest university in Romania, and the largest in Western Romania. Timisoara is the city where the spark of the anti-communist revolution started in 1989 and the European Capital of Culture 2023. A regional leader in the field of higher education and research, WUT is one of Romania’s most proactive universities in promoting an international course offer and learning environment, excellence in education and research, as well as offering innovative solutions to society’s problems. WUT is a member of the European University UNITA, composed by 6 universities from 5 countries (Italy, Spain, Portugal, France and Romania). Within the Consortium, students and academic and administrative staff are connected through mobilities and activities organized in an interuniversity virtual campus, communicating in all five romance languages represented in the consortium based on the principle of intercomprehension and inclusion.

In numbers, WUT means: over 15 000 Students (6% International students); 11 Faculties; 85 Bachelor Programmes; 120 Master Programmes; 12 Doctoral Schools ; 27 Advanced Research Centers; 642 Academic Staff and 500+ International Bilateral Agreements. The 11 faculties of WUT cover all the main directions of study in the fields of exact sciences, economics, law, social and political sciences, humanities, sports and arts. The team of teachers-researchers representing WUT in GreenCool project is multidisciplinary, covering several fields: political sciences, communication sciences, geography, social sciences.
